    Ca3(PO4)2(310.18).略號TCP.リン酸三カルシウム(tricalcium phosphate),第三リン酸カルシウム,リン酸三石灰ともよばれる.ほかに,水素塩のリン酸水素カルシウム CaHPO4(略號DCP)[CAS 7757-93-9]とリン酸二水素カルシウムCa(H2PO4)2(略號MCP)[CAS 7758-23-8]がある.リン酸三カルシウムはりん灰石(アパタイト)の主成分として天然に存在する.植物の生育に必要で,また脊椎動物の骨や歯を構成する主要物質である.リン酸三カルシウムは,リン酸塩水溶液に水酸化カルシウム懸濁液を加えて沈殿させるか,カルシウム塩CaCl2などの水溶液にリン酸水素二ナトリウムまたはリン酸水素二アンモニウムをアンモニア水とともに加える,リン酸水素カリウム水溶液に過剰の硝酸カルシウムを加えるなどの方法によって得られる.無色,無定形の粉末で,α型(単斜晶系)とβ型(りょう面體晶系),高溫?高圧相のγ型の3種類の変態があり,β型は1125 ℃ 以下で安定,α型は高溫相で1125~1430 ℃ で安定,常溫では準安定狀態にある.β型は密度3.14 g cm-3.融點1670 ℃.一,二,三水和物も知られている.水に不溶,エタノール,アセトンにも不溶.陶器のうわぐすり,オパールガラス材料,リン酸塩ガラス材料,研磨用歯磨き成分,砂糖?塩の凝結防止剤,カルシウム補強用醫薬品,食品?家畜飼料添加物などとして使用される.リン酸カルシウムは生體適合性にすぐれているので,人工骨?歯根材料,骨補填材として用いられる.軟磁器(ボーンチャイナ)の主成分でもある.リン酸カルシウムとDNAを共沈させると,細胞が取り込む効率が高いので,遺伝子導入の目的で遺伝子工學に利用される.[CAS 7758-87-4]

    Calcium Phosphate is the calcium salt of phosphoric acid with widely used applications. It occur abundantly in nature in several forms and are the principal minerals for the production of phosphate fertilizers and for a range of phosphorus compounds. For example, the tribasic variety (precipitated calcium phosphate), Ca3(PO4)2, is the principal inorganic constituent of bone ash. The acid salt Ca(H2PO4)2, produced by treating mineral phosphates with sulfuric acid, is employed as a plant food and stabilizer for plastics. It is a natural constituent of mammals, and it is a component of bone replacement transplants in much higher amounts with no toxicological problems.
    Calcium Phosphate
    Calcium phosphates are the largest group of artificial bone graft substitutes. This is mainly due to their close resemblance to the mineral components of bone. This Product can be used as a countermeasure for exposure to strontium and radium radionuclides. Upon oral uptake, calcium phosphate competes for and blocks the absorption of radium (Ra-226) and strontium (Sr-90) in the gastrointestinal (GI) tract.

    Calcium Phosphate is an anticaking agent and calcium source that is a white powder that is almost insoluble in water. It is used as an anticaking agent in table salt and dry vinegar. It is used as a source of calcium and phosphorus in cereals and desserts. It functions as a bleaching agent in flour and in lard, and prevents undesirable coloring and improves stability for frying. It is also termed tribasic calcium phosphate, tricalcium orthophosphate, calcium phosphate tribasic, and precipitated calcium phosphate.

    Tribasic calcium phosphate is obtained from naturally occurring minerals for fertilizer applications. The compound may be prepared in the laboratory by the reaction of sodium phosphate with calcium chloride with excess of ammonia. Also, it can be prepared by treatment of calcium hydroxide with phosphoric acid:
    2H3PO4 + 3Ca(OH)2 → Ca3(PO4)2 + 6H2O
