This is a traditonal Thai game where the contestants have to climb a greasy pole in order to reach a flag at the top. The team members then share the prize money. This game can be very funny to watch as they keep slipping down the pole.

In Thailand, many men become monks for a brief period of time once they have reached the age of 20. This video shows a part of the ordination ceremony where the young man is taken around the bot three times on the shoulders of one of his relatives.

Many people know Muay Thai these days which is famous around the world. But what about Blindfold Boxing? This sport is hilarious to watch. The two contestants are blindfolded and then proceed to try and box each other. The ground is covered with dry palm leaves which rustle as they walk over them.

Every year, a special ceremony is held at Wat Bangphra  for young men to pay respect to their tattoo artist. Many people believe that the tattoos on their body have magical powers that can protect them or give them super powers. During this ceremony, their tattoos are blessed and recharged for another year. Some of the people present become so focussed that they feel that they have become possessed by the animals depicted on their tattoos.

Giving Alms to a Monk E-mail

On the first day of the new year, hundreds of local people made merit early in the morning by giving food to the monks. Normally, people would do this individually outside their house, but as there were hundreds of people tables were lined up on both sides of the street. The monks then went up and down the line receiving food from the local people.
