Market on the train tracks Train passing through the market

When the Maeklong train arrives in Samut Songkhram, market vendors have to quickly pull back their produce and awnings to allow the train to pass. The train doesn't stop and they have to be quick if they don't want to get run over.

I shot this video from the back of the train as it left Maeklong Station in Samut Songkhram. Sorry about the quality as I was shooting through a dirty window and into the sun! You can see the vendors pushing their produce back towards the track and putting up the awning to shelter them from the sun.

You can read more about this train trip over at our sister site thai-blogs.com
