The Thai people tend to be very superstitious. They will do anything to give themselves and their families a better life. They will do anything to rubbing the bark on a tree to find winning lottery numbers to playing lucky fortune games at the temples. I already told you about the numbered sticks in a pot that they shake. This one is less common. Basically, what you have to do is kneel in front of the shrine and make a wish. You then have to try and pick up the elephant. Women have to use the middle finger of their right hand. Men have to use the little finger of their left hand. Who do you think will find it easier?
